Limitations of balanced chemical equation:

  • It doesn't givr any information about the rate of the reaction.
  • It gives not information about the by-products formed, if any.
  • It does not tell about the actual yield of the product.
  • It may not be kinetically feasible in reaclity.

Importance of balanced chemical equation:

  • According to the law of conservation of mass, when a chemical reaction occurs, the mass of the products should be equal to the mass of the reactants.
  • Therefore, the amount of the atoms in each element does not change in the chemical reaction.
  • A balanced chemical equation occurs when the number of the atoms involved in the reactants side is equal to the number of atoms in the products side.

LIMITATION OF BALANCED CHEMICAL EQUATION AND IMPORTANCE OF IT ;

DEFINITION OF BALANCED CHEMICAL EQUATION ;

The chemical equation written by balancing the total numbers of atoms of each elements in the reactants side and products side is called as balanced chemical equation.

Limitation of it :

  • The physical state of reactants and products information .
  • The condition required to complete the reaction in not defined in that.
  • The time taken is also not mentioned.

IMPORTANCE OF IT ;

  • It provide the name and symbols of reactants and product information
  • Give idea about type of reactions
  • Provide information about weight of reactants and products
