  1. It was found that the law of octave was applicable only upto calcium, as after calcium every eighth element did not possess properties similar to that of the first.
  2. It was assumed by newland that only 56 elements existed in nature amd no more elements would discovered in the future.
  3. Newland's law of Octaves worked well with lighter elements only.
