The equation is : x × z = y and cost of one drink is $ 1.50.

Given - Number of bottles and total cost

Find - Equation

Solution - We are given the variables, so forming the equation accordingly -

Let the cost of one drink be z.

x × z = y

Keep the values in this equation to find the cost of one drink.

Cost of 1 drink × 3 = 4.50

Shifting 3 to Right Hand Side of equation

Cost of 1 drink = 4.50 ÷ 3

Performing division to find the cost one drink

Cost of one drink = $1.50

Hence, the equation is x × z = y and cost of one drink is $ 1.50
