Step-by-step explanation:

As the line is parallel to the y axis then there will be no intersection of line on y axis . So the equation of the line will be in the form of x cordinate .Now in given question it's mentioned that line is passing through (-4,3) point . Means the x cordinate of the point is -4 .

So , X=-4 ,

X+4=0 ….. this is the Equation of the line running parallel to y axis and passing through (-4,3) point .

Hope it helps you..✌️

Given : line PQ is parallel to y-axis and passing through the point (-4,3)

To Find : equation of the line PQ

Solution:

PQ is parallel to y-axis and passing through the point (-4,3)

PQ is parallel to y-axis  => slope = 1/0

passing through point ( - 4 , 3)

Equation of the line PQ

y - 3 = (1/0) (x - (-4))

=> 0. ( y - 3) = 1 ( x + 4)

=> 0 = x + 4

=> x + 4 = 0

x + 4 = 0   is the equation of the line PQ
