# Explaination-

It's given that KL is tangent to circle with centre J.

Hence triangle JKL is a right angled triangle with angle K = 90°


According to pythagorean theorem,

JL^2 = JK^2 + KL^2 ...(1)

But JL = r+16 JK = r KL = 24

Putting this in eqn (1)

(r+16)^2 = r^2 + (24)^2

r^2+32r+256 = r^2 + 576

32r = 320

r = 10 units.


Hence radius is 10 units...
