Let the cost of book be 'y' then cost of pen will be y-6 and cost of bag will be y+8. Altogether cost 53.
=> y+(y-6)+(y+8)=53
=> 3y+2=53
=> 3y=51
=> y=17(cost of book),
y-6=11(cost of pen), y+8=25(cost of bag)
