Hi,
ax + by = a - b -------( 1 )
bx - ay = a + b ----- ( 2 )
Do [ a × ( 1 ) + b × ( 2 ) ] we get,
a² x + aby = a² - ab
b² x - ab y = ab + b²
__________________
( a² + b² ) x = ( a² + b² )
x = 1
Put x = 1 in equation ( 1 ) , we get
a + by = a - b
by = -b
y = ( - b ) / b
y = - 1
Therefore ,
x = 1 ;
y = - 1 :
