Linear equation in 2 variables substituting method 1. x+2y =-1 and 2x+3y=-2​

Answer:

x+2y=-1. (eq:1)

2x+3y=-2 (eq:2)

x=-1-2y. ( from eq:1( eq:3))

substitute (eq:3 in eq:2)

2(-1-2y)+3y= -2

-2-4y+3y=-2

-y=0

i.e y=0

Now

Substitute y in (eq: 1)

x+2*0=-1

x+0=-1

x=-1

Therefore x=-1 and y=0
