• Let's use Transposing method to find the value of variable x.

→ 2x - 1/3 = 1/5 - x

→ 2x + x = 1/5 + 1/3

→ 3x = 3 + 5/15

→ 3x = 8/15

→ x = 8/15 × 3

→ x = 8/45

∴ Required answer :

• x = 8/45

To check whether the obtained answer is correct or incorrect we will put the value of variable x in the equation "2x - 1/3 = 1/5 - x" If right hand side is equal to the left hand side the value of x is correct.

→ 2x - 1/3 = 1/5 - x
