4 - 2(z-4)     =   (2z+5)
        3            2

 \frac{12-2z+8}{3}  =  \frac{(2z + 5)}{2}

 \frac{20-2z}{3} =  \frac{(2z + 5)}{2}

((20-2z) * 2 = (2z + 5) * 3
40 - 4z = 6z + 15
40 -15 = 6z + 4z
25= 10z
10z = 25
z = 25/10
z = 5/2

pravin3103: 1/2 (2z+5) = 1/2 * (2z+5)
vineetakumar30: the mistake i was doing was that i changed them into like fractions by taking the lcm as we do in addition and subtraction
