Answer:

i) x=(1-5y)/2

ii) 2x+3y=3

= 2(1-5y)+3y=3

= 2-10y+3y=3

=-7y=1

=y=-1/7

Therefore, from eq. (i)

x=(1-5y)/2=(1-5×-1/7)/2

x=(1+5/7)/2=12/14=6/7.
