Answer:

Leanne should earn more than $850

Step-by-step explanation:

Hi,

Given that Leanne earned $400 and $550

in interest in the last 2 years,

Let the interest Leanne earns this year be

$ x.

Average earning of the interest over the  3 years

will be = ( Sum of the earnings)/3

= (400 + 550 + x)/3

Now, given that her average earnings should be more

that $600, hence

(400 + 550 + x)/3 > 600

Cross multiplying by 3, we get

950 + x > 1800

x > 1800 - 950

x > 850

Hence, Leanne should earn more than $850, to

keep her average earnings more than $600.

Hope, it helps!
