Linear momentum of a particle of mass 100 gram is 1 kg metre/s . Find its velocity.​

We know that,

  • Momentum = Mass × velocity

From question,

  • Mass = 100 g = 100/1000 = 0.1 kg
  • Momentum = 1 N

Now, just put all the values in the formula,

  • p = mv
  • 1 = 0.1 × v
  • 1/0.1 = v
  • 10 = v

Thus, the velocity of the particle is 10 m/s.
