Answer:

momentum(p) = mass(m)×velocity(v) or, p=mv

p=250 gcm/s

v= 5m/s= 5×100cm/s

m= p/v= 250/(5×100) g

= 0.5 gm

(A )is the correct answer

Given  : Linear momentum of an object is 250 g cm/sec.

the velocity of the object is 5 m/s,

To Find :  the mass of the object

(A) 0.5 gm (B) 5 kg (C) 0.5 mg (D) 5 mg

Explanation:

Linear momentum  = Mass * Velocity

Linear momentum   P  = 250 g cm/sec.

Mass = m  in g

Velocity v  = 5 m/s  = 500 cm /s

P = mv

=> 250  = m * 500

=> m = 250/500

=> m = 1/2

=> m = 0.5

the mass of the object  is 0.5 g
