The “Letter” was written on 16th April, 1963 addressing to the Fellow Clergymen.
Dr. King explained that he read the recent statements published by the clergymen in one of the Birmingham newspapers, describing his recent activities as “unwise and untimely.”
Though he did not respond to the criticisms, he believed these men were “of genuine good will” and deserved answer.
