The King and the Spider
Robert Bruce was the King of Scotland. He was defeated by his enemies and was made to leave the country. He was discouraged. Filled with sadness and disappointment, he hid himself in a cave.
He was sitting on the floor with his head up and was thinking about his fortune. In that time he saw a spider climbing up to the ceiling. It was trying to make a net. But each time it reached the ceiling, it fell down.
Now Robert Bruce stirred himself to the event with great understanding. The spider made such attempts nine times and atlast succeeded to make its net.
Robert Bruce, the King, who was made to flee from his own kingdom, learnt a lesson from the spider - try again and again, until success is yours.
He too tried with all his energy once again. Soldiers fought with greatness on his side and he won. He restored his Scotland from his enemy.
Moral:
Try again and again, until success is yours.
