Solution:

Let say on nth day bath tub was half full

Then on (n + 1) day bath tub will be 2 x half  

= 2 x 1/2

= 1    full

Bath tub was full on  24 th day

=> n + 1 = 24

=> n = 23

Hence on 23th day bath tub was half full
