Given that Y_{A} is the mole fraction of a in vapor phase  and  X_{A} is the mole fraction in solution.

We know

                 Y_{A}=\frac{p^{o}_{A}X_{A}}{P}\\ \\ \frac{Y_{A}}{X_{A} }=\frac{p^{o}_{A}}{P}            

where P is the vapor pressure of solution   p^{o}_{A} is the vapor pressure of pure liquid A.  Since the liquid A is less volatile than solution.  

  ∴     p^{o}_{A} &lt; P

So    \frac{Y_{A}}{X_{A} }=\frac{p^{o}_{A}}{P} &lt; 1

Therefore   \frac{Y_{A}}{X_{A} }= &lt; 1

Hence the option C is correct.
