liquids are basically a state of matter which flow and occupy all the space given to them .
liquids flow primarily because of three reasons
#1
liquids are fluids and therefore they have a natural tendency to flow like gases and unlike solids
#2
liquids have comparatively large intermolecular space between molecules if compared to solids and their intermolecular forces of attraction are low.. hence they tend to flow
this property is called fluidity of liquids
#3
the force of adhesion in water molecules is very high..i.e. it tends to get attracted to other substances and it's force of cohesion is very low.. so they don't stay together and flow in different directions

Liquids can flow due to their property called fluidity.
This property is due to weak intermolecular forces between the particles of liquid.The intermolecular forces are not so strong that they can hold the neigbbouring particles. So liquid flows.
