Liquids n gases flow 'cause they have a property called fluidity which helps them. Also, they have large inter-cellular space than in solids and high rate of movement of particles i.e. kinetic energy of molecules.

The given forms of matter in the question can flow because they possess the property called FLUIDITY.

  • Fluids are commonly referred to as liquid substances and gaseous materials because they can flow.
  • The intermolecular or interparticle gaps in both of these forms of matter are larger.
  • This gives the particles greater room to move around and retain the shape and volume of their container.
  • These interparticles have enough kinetic energy to move around.
  • Solids do not have this attribute since there is no gap between their interparticles, hence they cannot flow.
  • However, due to the space between the constituent particles of liquid and gaseous matter, it can flow.
