HII THERE IS YOUR ANSWER

A SUBSTANCE FLOAT OR SINK IS TOTALLY DEPENDS ON THE DENSITY OF IT IF THE DENSITY OF A SUBSTANCE IS LESS THAN WATER THAN IT FLOAT WHEREAS IF THE DENSITY ID GREATER THAN THE WATER THAN OT SINK THE DENSITY OF THE WOOD IS LESS THAN THAT OF WATER SO IT DISPLACE LESS VOLUME OF WATER WHICH MAKE THE WOODEN BLOCK FLOAT IN WATER
