IN CASE OF WATER,THE MOLECULES COME CLOSER ON COOLING TILL 4°C, AFTERTHAT THE MOLECULES EXPAND AND HAS LESS DENSITY THAN SOLID ICE.

ICE HAS LESS DENSITY DUE TO ANOMALOUS EXPANSION OF WATER.
