Liquids have no definite shape but have definite volume. Their shape changes with change in shape of the container. And their volume becomes that of the shape of the container.
If the liquid is in cylindrical vessel then it's shape is cylindrical and volume is same as that of the cylinder. (Volume of cylinder is πr²h). Similarly, if it is in hemispherical vessel then it's shape is hemisphere and volume is same as that of hemisphere (Volume of hemisphere is 2/3πr³).
Whereas solids have definite shape & volume and gas have no definite shape & volume.
