i) These help ease pain, cure infections, and lowering blood pressure.

ii) Tetracyclines, aminoglycosides, penicillins, cephalosporins, etc., are the antibiotics used to cure bacterial diseases.

iii) Anesthetic drugs are used during operations. For example, ether drugs.

iv) Diacetylmorphine is used after surgeries to decrease pain.

v) There are many analgesics and anti-inflammatory drugs in use. For example, Aspirin.  

vi) Salvarsan is used for syphilis patients.

vii) An antipsychotic drug, Haldol, is used for schizophrenia patients.

viii) Digoxin and furosemide are used for heart patients.

ix) Ritonavir and lopinavir are antiretrovirals used for the treatment of AIDS.

x) Carboplatin and cisplatin are anti-cancer drugs.

The ten disadvantages of using drugs (especially substances) -

i) Increased blood pressure, decreased coordination, and increased heart rates are the symptoms of hashish, marijuana, and other cannabis-containing substances consumption.  

ii) Paranoia, agitation, and extreme anxiety are signs of synthetic cannabinoids and bath salts intake.

iii) Drowsiness and memory problems are the signs of barbiturates, benzodiazepines, and hypnotic consumption.

iv) Rambling speech, insomnia, and depression are the signs of cocaine and some other stimulants.

v) Club drugs cause a reduction in consciousness.

vi) Hallucinogens are responsible for rapid heart rate and high blood pressure.

vii) Symptoms of inhalants are dizziness, tremors, and irregular heartbeats.

viii) Brain damage of different severity levels may develop in the case of inhalants.

ix) Signs of opioid painkillers (narcotics) are slurred speech, agitation, sedation, constipation, and depression.
