The disadvantages of Friction are the following :

1. When Friction Applied to a body it slow  down the motion of the body
2. Friction Produces heat in various part of machine which cause the wastage of useful energy .
3. Affect the efficiency of machine .
4. Responsible for Forest fire .
5. Responsible for Production of noise in machine .
6. Low Energy input of machine .
7. Require high amount of force to machine to continue it in motion .
8. Responsible for money loss as the engine of automobile consume high amount of fuel .
9. Friction Wears thing out . For Instance , Shoes
10. Friction Wears out tyres of Vehicle .

The above are some of the disadvantages of Friction . Friction is something which resist the motion of an object and the object is not in motion till the external force not apply to the object .
