• Impede can be also called hinder, delay, disrupt, and so on.
• A nation is a community of people with has same or diverse ethnic, have defined territory and government, and usually shared a common feature such as language, history, ethnicity, and so on. India is a nation because it has a defined territory, and government, and the common feature is history.
• Nation building is the construction of the nation.
• The following are issues that impede nation-building:

1. Economic inequality: In a nation where the gap between rich and poor increases it results in disturbance for nation-building as the rich try to control the nation and people, which results in a civil war and disruption within the nation.
2. Establish democracy: if within a nation the government is not democratic and prefers one ethnicity over another it becomes a hurdle for nation-building, therefore, the government that establishes in the nation should be based on voting in other words it should be democratic and represent a nation as whole and not a particular community.
