INTRODUCTION:Reproduction is one of the important life process.When a living organisms (plant and animals)produces offsprings (young ones) is called as reproduction.

The two reasons for appearance of variation among the progeny formed by sexual reproduction is mentioned below :-
1. The progeny formed due to sexual reproduction has characteristics from mother as well as father. Hence because of this the characteristics differ and result in variation.
2. The genetic material is exchanged between chromosomes before forming of zygote. Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) exchange in the chromosome. This results in forming of variation in the progeny.
