TL;DR Warning ahead….
When I was young I used to play loads of PC games. So in order to stop me from playing games during my study time my mother would take the mouse away and thought I won't be able to use the computer. At first it was very difficult for me to still use the computer without mouse during my study time.
So I learned how to use keyboard and learned the shortcuts to be able to use just the keyboard instead but then also I had to limit myself to certain games, which were enabled to play only with keyboard. When my mother got to learn about this. She took my keyboard as well. And then came the real problem. I wasn't able to use the computer because there wasn't anyway for me to input instructions to the computer. All I could see was Windows 98 desktop (I didn't have password protection then).
So I went to the store bought a spare keyboard and mouse and would hide it in y cupboard. Whenever my mother would take away my input devices, I would take my spare ones out and start playing again. When my mother got to know about this, she then took the monitor away and locked it in her cupboard.
“Ah….Geeze! Not my monitor! How am I now able to see the desktop or anything?! I mean anything!”
Taking away the monitor made it impossible for me to view any visual output generated by my computer.
Apologies for making it long but just to give you the basic idea of input/output devices of a computer I had to give you that story.

Digital camera, Gamepad, Joystick, Keyboard, Microphone, MIDI keyboard, Mouse (pointing device), Scanner, Webcam, Touchpads, Pen Input, Microphone, Electronic Whiteboard, OMR, OCR, Punch card reader, MICR (Magnetic Ink character reader), Magnetic Tape Drive, etc.
Examples of Output Devices:
Monitor (LED, LCD, CRT etc), Printers (all types), Plotters, Projector, LCD Projection Panels, Computer Output Microfilm (COM), Speaker(s), Head Phone, Visual Display Unit, etc.
