Economic initiatives that may help in water conservation are as follows -

• Application of water tax :

Water supplies are mostly free of cost from the government and that's why people don't realise the valuation of the water.

If the government launches water tax system, then the awareness will automatically raise among the people and the water conservation will be performed by the population itself.

• Fine for water wastage :

There are many roadside water taps which are open for 24×7 and a lot of water is wasting continuously.

If there's a fine system for this kind of water wastage then people will automatically stop water wastage.

• Financial aid for ground water harvesting :

Ground water is one of the most important water sources which we can use in our daily lifestyle.

If the government arrange financial aid for building these ground water harvesting systems then the water scarcity problems will be resolved and the extra pressure on the river water resources will be decreased.

• Financial aid for Rainwater Harvesting :

Conservation process should also include the improved resource collection and that's why rainwater harvesting system should be implemented for better resource management.

• Government campaigning :

Government should invest in the campaigning to create awareness among the population about the limitations of the precious water and the necessity of saving it.
