There are eight Parts Of Speech.
- noun - a word that is the name of a thing, an idea, a place or a person
- pronoun - a word that is used in place of a noun or a phrase that contains a noun
- verb - a word or group of words that is used to indicate that something happens or exists, for example bring, happen, be, do
- adjective - a word that tells you more about a noun
- adverb - a word that adds more information about place, time, manner, cause or degree to a verb, an adjective, a phrase or another adverb
- preposition - a word or phrase that is used before a noun or pronoun to show place, time, direction, etc.
- conjunction - a word that is used for joining other words, phrases or sentences.
- interjection - a word or phrase that is used to express surprise, pain, pleasure, etc. (for example Oh!, Hurray! or Wow!)
