yes many different social grps joined in the non cooperation movement.

  • tribals -the tribal of gudem hills of Andhra pradesh revolted against the British government.Alluri sitaram raju took the leadership .they started guerrilla war ,in which people attack from behind of hill or hiding themselves.
  • many teachers left the govt . controlled school ,lectures give up their leagal practices .students also left the british school
  • the peasants and small scale labour weared khadi and refused to the British mill made cloth.
  • In awadh jawaharlal,baba ramachandra started campaigning against britishers.
  • In the tea garden of assam people thought Gandhi raj came they should be given land in their own village . They also wanted to left the tea garden ,and move towards their village.

● Lawyers boycotted courts.

● Peasants and tribal groups revolted.

● Plantation workers joined the movement.

● (a) In Awadh, peasants led by Baba Ramchandra were against talukdars

and landlords.

● Had to do Begar , no security to tenure, evicted anytime.

● Kisan Sabhas set up.

● Attacked houses of talukdars and merchants.

● Bazaars looted, hoarded grains taken out.

● (b) In the Gudem hills of Andhra Pradesh the Britishers prevented

people from entering forest to graze their cattle.

● Alluri Sita Rama Raju inspired tribal people.

● Talked about greatness of Gandhi, made people wear Khadi .

● Gudem Hills rebels attacked police stations, attempted to kill

officials using Guerrilla warfare.

● Raju was captured and executed in 1924.

● (c) Plantation workers in Assam were not allowed to leave

plantation without permission.
