This is a social campaign aimed at eradication of female foeticide and raising awareness on welfare services intended for young Indian girls.
2.Swadhar Greh
The Swadhar scheme was launched by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development in 2002 for rehabilitation of women in difficult circumstances.
3.STEP
The Support to Training and Employment Programme for Women (STEP) Scheme aims to provide skills that give employability to women and to provide competencies and skill that enable women to become self-employed/ entrepreneurs.

Steps taken by Government for women Empowerment:
1. Equal Rights
Before independence, women were not given any political rights but at present all women, who are of the age of 18 years or above have been given the right to vote like those of men.
The government of India has passed the Hindu Code Bill and the Kamla Act to give equal share to the women in the property of their parents.
2. Women Education
Illiteracy among the women is the basic cause of gender inequality. So the Government of India is emphasizing on women education.
For this many schools and colleges have been opened exclusively for women.
To promote education among women two most important schemes i.e ‘Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan’ and ‘Mahila Samakhya’ have been implemented.
3. Support for Training and Employment Programme(STEP)
Government is providing training, especially to women in new technologies in agriculture, dairying, horticulture, fisheries, handicrafts etc.
