Answer:Some properties of plastic are:-

1) Plastics are poor conductors of heat and electricity.

2) plastics are non reactive metals, they are not attacked by chemicals.

3) plastics are light weight easy to handle and durable.

4)Plastics can be mounted and dyed into any colours. like orange, red, blue etc

Some uses of plastics are:-

1) Bakelite is used to make electric switches, insulating casings and handle of cookware and tools etc.

2) Melamine is heat resistant and is used to make kitchenware, floor tiles and special suits for firefighters.

3) Teflon is used as a non stick coating on cookware as both water and oil do not stick to it.

4)Many plastics are waterproof and hence are used to make plastic sheeta and plastic bottles.
