Hey mate
Saprophytic nutrition is the nutrition in which the organisms drive their food from dead and decaying matter.
The organisms that depend on such nutrition are called as Saprophytes.
In the saprophytic mode of nutrition the food sources are the dead and decaying organic matter of plants and animals.
Organisms that mainly depend on the saprophytic mode of nutrition include fungi, bread mould, some protists, etc.
Fungi when grow on the dead and decaying matter they release a few chemicals which help in breaking the complex material into simpler form and then the nutrients are absorbed by Fungi.
Hope that helps you
