Pollination-----
1. It is the transfer of pollen grains from anther to stigma of a flower.
2. It takes place on outer side of the flower.
3. No pollen tube formation.

Fertilisation-----
1. It is the fusion of male and female gametes.
2. It occurs inside the flower.
3. Pollen tube is formed which transfers male gametes to the egg cell.
