Hey!
Four major disadvantages of using fossil fuels are -:
1)Global warming -fossil fuels release carbon dioxide when they burn, which adds to the greenhouse effect and increases global warming.
2) Environmental hazard- the mining of coal results in the destruction of wide areas of land.
3) Acid rain- burning of fossil fuels not only give carbon dioxide but it also gives off sulphur dioxide, a kind of gas that creates acid rain.
4)Human life endanger- Mining the fossil fuel is very difficult and it endanger the lives of miners. Thousands of people die globally every year because of mining fossil fuels.
Hope it helps.
