bone marrow is absent . matrix is non vascular . three types of cartilage are present - hyaline cartilage , fibro cartilage and elastic cartilage.

bone is hard , inelastic and tough . cells are known as osteocytes . matrix is vascular and is found in lamillae . bones are rich in blood supply and has bone marrow . two types of bones are present - compact and spongy bones .
