A firewall is a security software which checks all the incoming data and the outgoing data and it is proven to very helpful to a computer. A computer also has many types of firewall and these firewall can also be disallowed for some particular apps and they can also be disabled wholly.

Merits of firewall:

• Firewalls often disallow the malicious software coming into the computer and hence save them from virus

• Protocols such as HTTP and FTP are used which are good in protecting the computer.

• Each and every packet which is being inspected is being thoroughly inspected and if anything is wrong it is not allowed inside.

• Stateful inspection firewall
