the differences are:
1)Arteries carry blood from the heart to different organs of the body while Veins collect blood from different organs of the body and bring it to the heart.
2) Arteries are thick walled and elastic while veins are thin-walled and non elastic.
3)Arteries do not possess valves while veins posses valves.
4) All arteries except the pulmonary artery carry oxygenated blood whereas all veins except pulmonary veins carry deoxygenated blood.
5) Blood in the arteries flows with a higher pressure while blood in the veins flows with a lower pressure.
