the postulates of Dalton's atomic theory are as follows:

◆ all matter consists of indivisible particles called atoms.
◆ atoms of same element are similar in shape and mass, but differ from other atoms of different elements.
◆atoms can neither be created nor be destroyed
◆Atoms of different elements may combine with each other in different ratios to form compounds.
◆atom is smallest unit of matter.
◆Atoms of same element can combine in more than one ratio to form two or more compounds.
