Floating bridges are in many ways are looked as anomalous.

One great and phenomenal example was constructed by Waagner-Biro, that is based out of Dubai.

This is the first kind in Emirate and can carry six lanes over the Dubai Creek.

This pontoon type bridge has a width of 2 x 22m and length of 365m.

The balancing the shifts is challenging due to its height caused by waves and differing traffic conditions.

An independent bridge structure was constructed for each of the two traffic directions.

Between the two 115m long concrete pontoons,  a hydraulically driven swing gate is attached made of steel, which provides a clear shipping passage through the lane.

The completion of construction took place within 23 days of record time.
