solar energy is a renewable source of energy while fossil fuels are non renewable source of energy. solar energy is free. fossil fuels take a very large amount of time to be prepared. both solar energy and fossil fuels can be used for different purposes. such as petroleum is used in combustion engines. while solar energy and coal can be used for generation of electricity. the initial cost of solar panels is high I think but once installed, you can enjoy free electricity. of course you have to maintain the panels.
we gotta use fossil fuels with caution so that we don't run out of them as this will create problems in future. imagine a world with no fossil fuels...
natural gas is used for burning for different purposes such as heating. natural gas is also a fossil fuel.
