  1. Try to prevent air bubbles under the coverslip...this will difficulty in observation.
  2. Always put glycerin before safranin as glycerin is viscous and will hold safranin but safranin isn't viscous.
  3. Don't let the leaf dry as it may cause cell shrinking.
  4. Don't let water leak out of the coverslip as it may damage or dirty the microscope.
