Answer:

Most of the animals are eukaryotic animals (have definate nucleus) and most of the animals have complex tissue structure with differentiated and specialized tissue.

Animals are heterotrophs (have to eat organic matter because they can’t make their own food the way plants can), they must consume living or dead organisms since they cannot synthesize their own food and can be carnivores, herbivores, omnivores, or parasites.

The animal kingdom is divided into five branches:

  1. Porifera (sponges)
  2. Placozoa (tiny blob-like creatures)
  3. Ctenophora (comb jellies)
  4. Cnidaria (jellyfish, corals, sea anemones)
  5. Bilateria (all other animals).

_Hope it helps

Any of the eukaryotic multicellular organisms of the biological kingdom Animalia is referred to as an animal (plural: animals). Animals belonging to this kingdom are heterotrophic, motile, have specialised sensory organs, lack a cell wall, and arise from a blastula during embryonic development. Latin animale is the etymology of the word (neuter of animalis). Fauna is a synonym for fauna.

Animals' Characteristics

An animal is any of the eukaryotic multicellular organisms that make up the Animalia biological kingdom. Animals have a number of features that distinguish them from other living creatures. The following are some of their general characteristics:

(1) Multicellular organisms are animals. In contrast to bacteria and most protists, which are unicellular, the animal body is made up of many cells that perform particular roles. The cells can then be arranged into epithelial tissues, connective tissues, muscular tissues, nerve tissues, and vascular tissues, among other animal tissues. Tight junctions, gap junctions, and desmosomes are examples of cell junctions that hold cells in tissues together.

(2) Eukaryotes are eukaryotic organisms. A membrane-bound nucleus is found in animal cells. The nucleus is the organelle that houses the genes' chromosomes. Other organelles suspended in the cytoplasm of an animal cell include the Golgi apparatus, endoplasmic reticulum, lysosomes, and peroxisomes, in addition to the nucleus. Plant cells, algae, and some fungi have plastids and cell walls, which animal cells lack. READ: Biology Online Tutorial: Plant vs. Animal Cells
