The educational facilities in Delhi are provided in stages of pre-primary, primary, middle, secondary, senior secondary and university level.

The Pre-primary and primary educations are managed by the local bodies, whereas the middle, secondary, and the senior secondary are the responsibility of the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi.

The Government of Delhi has converted 326 of the schools providing pre-primary and primary education(Class  I to XII) into composite schools called as Sarvodaya Vidayalaya.
