• He authored Rukmini Harana and Bhakti Pradipa. The Bhagavat of Sankardeva, which he and other early members of the Eka Sarana school translated from the Sanskrit Bhagavata Purana, is the main sacred text of this faith. Sankardev penned the scripture known as Gunamala in a single night in 1552 at the Koch ruler Nara Narayan's request.
• It is a condensed version of the Bhagavata Purana that is written in sensual, rhyming, and sonorous verses.
• Srimanta Sankardeva authored and performed the first play, "Chinhajatra," in 1468 while he was living in Bardowa. As the first drama to be written in any Indian Regional language, Chinhajatra is recognised as a significant event in Assamese culture.
• The Rigveda, a Hindu literature from the middle to end of the second millennium BCE, is the earliest Sanskrit text that has been discovered.
• His most popular piece is Avakasikal (The Inheritors). It is the longest novel written in an Indian language and has 3958 pages spread across four volumes. Vilasini also translated other books into Malayalam, including The Blind Owl (Boof-e koor) by Sadegh Hedayat and Pedro Páramo by Juan Rulfo.
