In elements which are in series their atomic number always increases , their mass number mostly increases but sometimes it is equal or smaller or greater to it's nearby elements. Valency with the increasing atomic number , first increases then decreases.
As per mordern periodic table , properties of elements are the periodic function of their atomic number.
