Answers
hello dear!!!
Eukaryotic cells contain many membrane-bound organelles. An organelle is an organized and specialized structure within a living cell. The organelles include the nucleus, ribosomes, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, vacuoles, lysosomes, mitochondria, and, in plants, chloroplasts.
Nucleus(double membraned)-it maintains the integrity of the genetic material(DNA).
Mitochondria(double membraned)-Sites of aerobic respiration,powerhouse of the cell(ATP).
Plastids(double memmbraned)-Photosynthesis:light reaction (in thylakoids),dark reaction
(in stroma),Storage of starch.
Vacuole(single membraned called tonoplast)-Contains water, sap, excretory products and other materials not useful for the cell.
Lysosome(single memmbraned)-Contains hydrolytic enzymes (hydrolases lipases, proteases, carbohydrates).
Endoplasmic reticulum-
SER-Synthesis of lipids and steroids,
Detoxification of drugs.
RER-protein synthesis,gives rise to SER.
