The main historic monuments of this era are Taj Mahal in Agra, Red Fort and Jama Masjid in Delhi.

All these three monuments were built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in late 16th century.  

Taj Mahal is counted among the Seven Wonders of the World, due to its magnificent artwork in white marble.

Red Fort was made of red sandstone and noted for remarkable marble palaces and gardens.

Jama Masjid is the largest mosque of India and located close to Red Fort.
