It includes the Bengal tiger, Indian leopard (and black panther), Gaur, Indian elephant, Mongoose, Malabar giant squirrel, Lion-tailed macaque, Gray langur and Nilgiri tahr. It has largest population of two endangered species- lion-tailed macaque and nilgiri tahr.
